CruSense is made by a small team in Finland, and the person who reads support email is the person who writes the app. If something is broken or confusing, say so — it is the fastest way to get it fixed.

Six ways, on the Add tab. Point the camera at the label and it fills itself in; search by name; paste a link to a shop or producer page; import from a receipt; import a CSV from another app; or type it in yourself. Whichever you pick, you can correct anything before it is saved.
No. Add a handful of bottles and ask it what goes with dinner — it ranks whatever is there. It gets more useful as you add more, but it works from the first bottle.
Map your rack, fridge or shelf once under Storage, then place bottles into slots. After that, every bottle shows where it lives, so you can pull the one you picked without moving the other fifty.
Every suggestion comes with a plain reason — "acidity cuts through the fat", "bubbles cleanse the palate". The ranking weighs the dish against each bottle's style, weight, acidity, tannin and sweetness, and it only ever ranks wine you actually own.
Try a broader description. "Meat" or "fish" or "cheese" will always return something; a very specific dish may not. The app is happier with "roast lamb" than with the full name of the recipe.
The premium pairing engine. Where the standard pairing ranks your cellar by rule, Ask Cru reads the whole thing the way a sommelier would and comes back with a few picks and the reason behind each. It needs an internet connection.
Unlimited bottles, pairing for any dish, drink windows, open-bottle tracking, the storage map, and searching Alko to add a bottle. None of that is going behind a paywall. You also get a starting allowance — at least 20 smart adds and 3 Ask Cru answers — so you can see what premium does before deciding.
Ask Cru, label scanning, finding a bottle on the web, receipt import, and storage placement for new bottles. It is 19,90 € a year or 4,99 € a month.
For new subscribers, eventually — it is a launch price. Not for you: if you subscribe while it is running you keep it for as long as your subscription stays active.
On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → CruSense → Cancel. Apple runs the billing, so cancelling has to happen there rather than in the app. Premium stays on until the period you already paid for runs out.
Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchases. If that does not do it, email us — include the Apple receipt and we will sort it out.
Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. If the app genuinely failed you, email us first and we will help you make the case.
Settings → Export Collection (JSON). You get every bottle, note and rating, on the free tier as well as premium. It is your cellar; you should never have to ask for it back.
Settings, at the very bottom → Delete Account. It removes your bottles, notes, photos and sign-in details. There is no archived copy kept for our benefit — the privacy policy spells out exactly what goes.
Your cellar and the standard pairing work offline, because both live on your device. Label scanning and Ask Cru need a connection, since they run on our server.
